Meet Don
For Economic Development in Jefferson County, Colorado
Donald Rosier is a third generation Coloradoan and he has lived in Jefferson County his entire life. Growing up in Arvada he attended Swanson Elementary, North Arvada Junior High, and Arvada Senior High. He was as active in sports then as he is now, playing competitive and high school soccer, basketball, swimming, baseball, and track. As a child he spent many hours exploring the great opportunities that Jefferson County has to offer from hiking in the mountains, fishing at a local lake, attending the Harvest Festival to watching the spectacular sunsets from his back porch with his family.
Don earned his bachelors of science degree in civil engineering, with a emphasis in water resources, from Colorado State University. Since graduation he has had the opportunity to work in the private consulting engineering field, the public engineering sector, the land development and construction field, and the energy development and exploration field.
Don married his High School Sweet Heart in 1988. He and his wife GeriAnn have lived in the same house in south Jefferson County since 1992. They have three school aged children; a daughter and two sons. Don is extremely active in the local community coaching lacrosse, volunteering his time for the last eight years as chairman of the Jefferson County Community Development Advisory Board, teaching Sunday school, volunteering at the local schools, and enjoying all that Jefferson County has to offer.
Don's lifelong connection to Jefferson County along with his vast professional business and volunteer experience has prepared him extremely well for his run at this very important County Commissioner Seat.
